HAPPY SHOPPER #23: TAV FALCO

Tav Falco and the Panther Burns have been long time favorites of these pages, oh maybe since the release of Behind The Magnolia Curtain, in 1981. And who could easily forget those nights at the Harlesden Mean Fiddler?

Initially from Memphis, Tav Falco has been operating more out of Paris since the 90s. Tearing up that town.

Your next chance to see the incomporable Panther Burns live is in Italy when they appear at STRADE BLU Festival, Tredozio, on July 31, 2008. The music is ageless and Tav Falco seems somehow Timeless. Here's your chance to not merely learn how to dress like Tav Falco... No! To actually live like Tav Falco! (Get ready for the rush, used Norton motorcyle dealers!)

300 Words From London
Claremont Road
For a lot of Londoners, famous, infamous or those just passing through, squatting in the 80s and 90s was the right way to save rent money you didn't have. Paul H recalls a well known East London squat.

The Rolling Stones Go To Anaheim
I wasn't expecting to attend the Rolling Stones' current "A Bigger Bang" tour this year. At $1000 to $1,500 per ticket (the going rate for decent ticket broker seats), an evening with the Glimmer Twins was out of my price range.
The Cavemen Are Coming! The Cavemen Are Coming!
our man scaled the walls and found himself at the super secret ABC Summer Press Tour. Don't Ask Me How. Top of the bill, an amazing facsimile of those sophisticated, complex GEICO Cavemen, in the new comedy Cavemen...
