Greta Alfaro is an award winning photographer born in Pamplona. She divides much of her time between Spain and London where she studied photography at the Royal College of Art. Her work has been exhibited and features in collections all over the world. She might be the busiest woman in show business. Last time we checked in, her show, I Will Not Hesitate To React Spiritually was enjoying an extended run in London and now here she is at Rosa Santos in Valencia, opening a brand new photography exhibition, Decimocuarta Estación

Greta's new project, starts from the railroad, using it as a symbol of the Industrial Revolution, the train that advances in a straight line from then until now, embodying a failed idea of progress that was the starting point of a human and environmental catastrophe linked to development technical and fossil minerals.

The ideas of speed, travel, acceleration, accident, nightmare and 'shock' are vested in a staging that refers to dream images. The train is the central element of the development of your project, on a trip that will travel through barren places and altered states of consciousness.

It's a trip we can't wait to see.

Fourteenth Station runs from November 29th to February 7th, 2020.

HELP OUTSIDELEFT

Outsideleft exists on a precarious no budget budget. We are interested in hearing from deep and deeper pocket types willing to underwrite our cultural vulture activity. We're not so interested in plastering your product all over our stories, but something more subtle and dignified for all parties concerned. Contact us and let's talk. [HELP OUTSIDELEFT]

WRITE FOR OUTSIDELEFT

If Outsideleft had arms they would always be wide open and welcoming to new writers and new ideas. If you've got something to say, something a small dank corner of the world needs to know about, a poem to publish, a book review, a short story, if you love music or the arts or anything else, write something about it and send it along. Of course we don't have anything as conformist as a budget here. But we'd love to see what you can do. Write for Outsideleft, do. [SUBMISSIONS FORM HERE]
