First was a chance meeting at the IKON in Birmingham

As you know, we are big fans of Kate Groobey. We love her paintings and all else she comes up with. At first, it was a chance meeting in a backroom down the stairs at the IKON gallery in Birmingham. Now, we are full on fan-folks.

Because I went to bed early and woke up late, and QPR were totally fucking useless against Sheffield Wednesday in a perfectly winnable game in the FA Cup, and Alarcon Almighty phoned from Long Beach wanting me to explain Megxit to him, and Mrs Champion wanted me to get some badminton shoes before next week, I didn't get to this until now, so you have only one chance, one day remains to see some recent Kate Groobey work at London's art fair. I don't suppose you'll have anything better to do. Let's go.

We do know the Ancient Champion is releasing a new single each month of 2019. Instrumental music characterised as easy listening for difficult times. And a collection of extremely short stories, Six Stories About Motoring Nowhere as part of the SideCartel's Sextet series. More info at AncientChampion.com
